My car is a citroen xantia 1.6 (xu5jp engine) and i want to remap its ecu. i bought a second ecu from a same car to do the remap and to keep mine if anything goes wrong. but there are some differences between the two.my ecu code numbers are: IAW 8P.1316240.0149619467680the new ecu is: IAW 8P.1316240.1249621477380Is there something i must worry about these numbers differences before i connect it? what is your opinion? coastline taxis Posted December 29, 2015 Share Posted December 29, 2015 no need for a 2nd ecu. when you remap yours just make a copy of your ecu as it is now and either store it on your pc or burn it to disc. then if anything goes wrong you just copy and past your original copy back into the ecu Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
